ZLX goes Platinum at NAMM

The one-millionth ZLX portable loudspeaker rolled off the production line in early 2024, and Electro-Voice marked the milestone at the NAMM Show in Anaheim — the same stage where the series first launched in 2013.

Electro-Voice marked a milestone in early 2024 as the one-millionth ZLX portable loudspeaker rolled off the production line — making the ZLX the most successful series in the company's nearly 100-year history.

The ZLX first launched at the NAMM Show in 2013 and became a fixture in professional audio at an accessible price point. Electro-Voice returned to NAMM in Anaheim to mark the achievement, inviting dealers and enthusiasts to meet the millionth unit in person.

A Platinum display, signed worldwide

The milestone speaker's box was signed by Electro-Voice team members around the world, and NAMM attendees added their own signatures to a special Platinum display recognizing their role in the ZLX's success. Representatives from the engineering and product development teams behind the ZLX were on hand to mark the occasion.

The demonstration room also featured the newly launched EVERSE 12 battery-powered loudspeaker alongside other portable products, including the ZLX, EVOLVE, and EVERSE ranges.

From the production line to sites worldwide

Executives from Electro-Voice's parent company traveled to the ZLX production facility to witness the historic millionth unit being built. Five additional ZLX boxes were signed by executives and production staff, then sent to Electro-Voice sites around the world to gather further signatures from the international teams behind the product.
