The challenge
Carry the nuance of tradition and the power of a modern show
Modernizing the sound system at the large theater brought many considerations into play. The traditional performances demanded seamless coverage and sonic finesse to convey their nuanced content and powerful emotion.
At the same time, the system had to hold ample output capacity for contemporary program material, and stay visually discreet inside a hall built for the eye as much as the ear.
The solution
Two line array hangs evenly covering the room
Integrator Truong Thinh worked closely with experts from Electro-Voice and Dynacord to specify the system. At its core sit two hangs of nine Electro-Voice X1-212 line-array loudspeakers, supported by 10 X12-128 dual 18" subwoofers and driven by Dynacord IPX Series power amplifiers.
Electro-Voice ETX and EKX powered speakers serve as fills and stage monitors, and a selection of Electro-Voice wired and wireless microphones captures every detail on stage. The sound system delivers the coverage and power the theater requires, and its compact form factor keeps its visual impact low.
