A Calling
LA Buckner says the drums chose him. His mom says he was drumming in the womb. As a kid he wanted to be a teacher or a drummer, and nobody told him the two go together. As a teaching artist he does both at once, in workshops and drum sheds where drummers gather around multiple kits and play to music together.
