A loud band with rooms of every size
Rhees Williams plays bass in Greasy Chicken Review, a band that fills a stage before it fills a room: five vocalists, horns, guitars, and drums. Rehearsals and smaller shows already run on an EVOLVE 50, which doubles as his bass rig. The question was what happens when the calendar says club date.
Carry a big band into a bigger room
The band's sound scales from rehearsal-space intimacy to club dates loud enough to test any rig. Front of house has to push five vocalists and a horn section at once, keep the full spectrum intact, and still load in and out like a portable system.
Vocals and the house sound through one EVOLVE 70
At Eastside Bowl the band ran vocals and the house sound through the Electro-Voice EVOLVE 70, and it was just huge sounding. The 15 inch sub carries the low end without the weight, and the tower pushed out five vocalists and horns at once.
A loud band, and it still delivered
The full spectrum stayed intact, with the highs and mids that big rigs often lose, and power out of proportion to how easily the system travels. One family of systems now covers everything from rehearsal to the loudest night on the calendar. From the basement to the ballroom, EV is the sound for every stage.
